 An original character I created - the girl in the drawings. I like to see her as a character for everyone. Very cheerful, energetic and optimistic. *Loves oranges.

 私が作ったオリジナルキャラです。誰でもアランシアを描いていいです。とても元気で活発、前向きな女の子です。*オレンジが大好き！

To gather as many drawings and as many versions of Arancia as possible.

 About the drawings / イラストについて： 

• Arancia must be there (of course). (もちろん)アランシアを描くこと。
• Other characters can be included. 他のキャラを一緒に描いてもいいです。
• No 18+ content (sexual or gore). 18禁コンテンツはご遠慮ください(性的または暴力表現）。

Hello. I'd like to tell you that I, a portuguese arts student, am going to give a class about japanese illustrators/artists, and it's my pleasure to tell you that you're one of the artists featured due to your amazing drawings and style. My goal is to show people how japanese illustrations can be a worthy art form. I truly appreciate your work and I hope you enjoy this idea.

At last, I have a small request. In case you find the time to, I would be very thankful if you could draw or sketch the character below (sorry, I can't draw nearly as well as you). I would like to show all artists' interpretations as a conclusion to my class. I hope you manage to do it!

こんにちは私はポルトガルで美術を専攻している学生です。
近々日本のイラストレーターについての講義を行おうと考えております。
その際、素晴らしい作品と手法を紹介するため、あなたをこの講義で着目するイラストレータの一人に選ぶことができ、光栄に思います。
今回の講義の目的は日本のイラスト作品の美術的価値を論じることです。
ここでひとつお願いがあります。もしお時間を頂けるのなら、下のキャラクターのスケッチを頂きたく思っております（つたない絵で申し訳ありません）。
講義の最後に各イラストレーターの方達の描いた同じキャラクターを見せようと考えています。
この企画に賛同して頂けると幸いです。ますますのご活躍に期待しております。

 I couldn't write in japanese.  I was able to translate this thanks to some (very) helpful online friends. Surprisingly, I got several replies which made me very happy!  The drawings were really great.

私は自力で日本語のメールを書けませんでした。オンライン上の(とても)親切な友達の協力により、メールを翻訳することができました。驚いたことに、何通か返信もいただけました。とても幸せでした！イラストは本当に素晴らしいものでした。 

 Since the lecture went very well and everyone wanted to see more I decided to make this place. A place for admirers of illustration. For professionals and amateurs. A place for both eastern and western illustrators. In a way, this place is a "bridge" connecting us to Japan.

講義は大変うまくいきました。そして皆がもっとイラストを見たがったので、私はこのサイトをつくることにしました。イラストを展示し、閲覧するためのサイトです。プロとアマチュアのために。そして東洋と西洋のイラストレーター、双方のためのサイトです。このサイトは、日本と私たちを結ぶ"かけ橋"です。

In order for everyone to understand, I write in both English and Japanese. Even though this is a worldwide project, it is somewhat focused on japanese illustration, therefore many japanese artists have participated. However, I want to gather Arancia drawings from everyone, regardless of their nationality. Therefore, please participate if possible!

皆が理解することができるように、ウェブサイトに英語と日本語で書きます。これは世界的なプロジエクトですが、日本のイラストは中心です、そして多くの日本のイラストレーターがすでに参加しました。しかしながら、国籍にかかわらず、皆から、アランシアの絵を集めることを望みます。だから、もし可能であれば、参加してください！

 There is no monetary profit involved and, for now, there are no plans to include it. Our goal is to gather as many different illustrations of Arancia as possible in order to show people how diversified and great illustration can be. By using the same character, it's easy to identify everyone's style in the drawings, and it develops a sense of community and a connection between the viewers and the artist. It's also a way for viewers to know artists via the links on my website, a way for illustrators to find out about other ones working in the business, a way to unite people from several countries with one common interest: Arancia. I want to see Arancia as a connection point between many different people. Even if they don't speak the same language, they can understand eachother's style and find out about him, and everytime they see a drawing of Arancia they will smile because they both have that character in common. She's a character for everyone.
